Puszta Tour

Hungarian Puszta Tour
Visit the most traditional landscape of Hungary, the Great Hungarian Plain, the PUSZTA!
One day private tour by car or minivan with horse show, a three-cours meal, wine and spirits.

The Puszta stretches from the Danube River to Hungary’s eastern border and takes a third part of the country. It is a characteristic landscape with special flora our nomad ancestors fell in love with and made it our country 1100 years ago. Now we have huge national parks here, villages living in harmony with old traditions and the modernity of everyday life.

Our unforgettable day starts the in the capital city of the Puszta, in Kecskemét. We have a short walk around the city center: art nouveau buildings from the 19ts century, Cifra Palace, City Hall, Kodály Music Institute, and the churches dating back to the 14th, 16th and 18th century.

Our tour takes us to a typical Tanya, a farmer house with an equestrian park in the middle of the Puszta. Hungarian horsemen welcome you with a special bread cake and Hungarian fruit brandy. We will have a carriage ride to have a nice view of the surrounding great territory. We have a short visit in the stables of the farm, where you can see the typical animals of our ancestors: racka sheep, horses, mangalica pigs, grey cattle etc.
You will be given an equestrian show to know the art and skills of local horsemen, how they trained their animals, in carriages of four-horse-driving, in pony-carriages, how the puszta-horsemen ride without saddle, … and so much more.

After all this a three-course lunch with wine and coffee will be served in the restaurant of the farmhouse by live gypsy music.

Our Puszta-Tour includes the following services: private car or minivan transportation – pickup and back transfer from and to your hotel, private English-speaking guide, wellcome drink and bread-cake, lunch with wine and coffee, horse show, carriage ride, short riding possibility without saddle, and the widest Hungarian landscape...
